Event Information:
Date: Saturday, September 20th (Rain Date: TBD)
Location: Durham Central Park (501 Foster St, Durham, NC 27701) & The Glass Jug Beer Lab’s Downtown Durham Taproom (545 Foster St Suite 10, Durham, NC 27701)
Setup Time: Must Arrive between 1 pm - 2pm
Market Time: 3-7 pm
Breakdown Time: Must break down and have all items removed by 8 pm
Application Fee: FREE! (I fundamentally disagree with application fees)
Vendor Fee: $40 (You are there to sell your products, not be the product. I only charge the minimum necessary to cover costs of items we need for the event like central park reservation fees, graphic design, flyer printing, labor hours, marketing, etc.)
Spaces: There are two options for vendor spaces - a table space underneath the central park plaza which is covered or a tent in the green space area. You will receive a map with your space number prior to the event. We are expecting to host 15-20 vendors for this event.
4 SANDBAG WEIGHTS (NO CIRCULAR WEIGHTS PERMITTED) ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL VENDORS WHO ARE USING TENTS FOR THIS EVENT!
Entertainment: There will be food trucks, music, drink specials, and Oktoberfest festivities.
Marketing Plan: I like to offer full transparency to vendors. This overall event is Glass Jug’s and The Pufferfish Project is simply their market coordinator for that piece.
Glass Jug will: Print and put up flyers in the taproom. They will post the event online on their website and social media. They will pay for at least one paid print ad, most likely in IndyWeek but TBD.
Pufferfish will: Design a flyer and social media graphic. These will be printed and put up around downtown. We will post the event online on local online event boards (at least including - Triangleonthecheap, Indyweek, Discoverdurham, DowntownDurham, and Eventbrite if not more). I will write with sidewalk chalk in the days prior to the event to direct walking traffic from downtown. Feel free to let me know of any other efforts you would like to see from me that you feel would benefit the success of the event!
This is an event Glass Jug hosts every year and is within walking distance of Centerfest so will certainly get some great traffic from that event and Centerfest always brings in a lot of people from other cities which usually helps out traffic at nearby events.
